Building Working Relationships with Communication

By investing time in communication and teamwork, RSI demonstrates commitment to meeting the client’s needs from the initial feature request to its successful implementation. The rapport we foster with our clients continues to reinforce our partnership and ultimately leads to the best outcomes for both the client and RSI’s provider network.

When Realized Solutions is meeting the increasing demands of its clients, we closely work with the client to create new features prioritizing the user experience. Our first objective is to identify the issue to be resolved and how it impacts on the work of each department. Typically, the client navigates a variety of tasks and requests, we invest time into tailoring every feature’s capability to the unique workflows of each team. RSI corresponds with the client extensively to iron out the fine details of a new feature. Meetings consist of calls and onsite visits to the client to determine a solution that will provide the most benefit to users. At the end of the discussions, the client is reassured RSI is dedicated to the enhancement of the client’s overall success.

Communication plays a vital role throughout the feature’s development lifecycle. The primary developers are supported by the lead developer and QA Specialist who provide additional context and updates from the client. Developers provide daily updates on the progress of new features to the rest of the RSI team to keep everyone up to date in case additional support is needed to ensure the feature functions are as intended. Features that require multiple weeks of development time are discussed during weekly client check-ins. If there are any complications or clarifications, RSI promptly informs the client to maintain developer momentum and client involvement.

Once development is complete, follow-up communication ensures the feature’s successful implementation. The QA Specialist meets with the involved departments to conduct User-Acceptance Testing (UAT), providing team members an opportunity to try out the new feature. During this process, team members can directly interface with the feature as the QA Specialist provides guidance and clarification when questions arise. All feedback from the testing team is then taken back to the development team in case additional aspects of the feature need to be tweaked to better accommodate users.
